Benefits Of Grain Probe Video Cameras
When the grain probe operator can’t see the top of the grain truck, a probe video camera can pay for itself by saving you the money spent buying damaged tarp bows and straps.
Experience has shown that when trying to see the whole grain truck using a video camera mounted on a tall pole, it is difficult to judge where the probe is positioned over the truck (depth perception).
The Bullet Video Camera is mounted on top of the grain probe and turns with the rotation of the mast, ensuring the probe stinger is always centered in the picture. And with the camera only 8 to 12 feet away from the load, the problem of depth perception is practically eliminated.
Using color cameras with our grain truck probes allows you to see any trash on the top of the load and to quickly determine what type of grain is being sampled.
The newest video technology improvements have decreased the size and price while improving the quality of video cameras and monitors and making operation of the probe so much more convenient.
Individual Component Systems
We have complete, ready to install, camera kits available. The kit includes the camera, 15″ LCD monitor (TV), camera power supply, camera mount, and 65 ft camera cord.
The cameras come with the swivel socket mounting base as shown, and also available are heavy-duty mounts for installations that are subject to vibration and wind. The cameras operate on 12VDC with 65 ft. sections of cord able to be connected for a total length of 195 ft.
Because of the size and durability, the video cameras can be mounted almost anywhere, with the most common applications being on grain probes. We offer a selection of cameras that can easily be installed to monitor rail loadouts or incoming traffic.
